The SoulCycle Standard: Our commitment to the highest level of safety.

At SoulCycle, we are a pack—we look out for each other.

So when it came down to putting new safety measures in place, we went above and beyond the guidelines. The cleanliness of our studios and the health and safety of our community has always been our top priority but now even more so. We’re leveling it up.

Click on the icons below to see the details of our new plan, but keep in mind this is just a start. We’re constantly fine-tuning and updating this page with the latest—so you can always check back here.

Studio Vaccine Policy

All of our studios require riders to be vaccinated as of Oct 5 (excluding Texas, Florida and London). Please bring proof of vaccination and photo identification with you to ride if you haven’t presented it to the studio previously. All riders must have at least one dose of the Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines in every region except NorCal.*

Proof of vaccination includes:

Vaccination card

Photo of vaccination card

NYC Excelsior Pass (Must show every time you ride)

CA.gov QR Code

Clear

Note: We will review your proof of vaccination, but we will not make or store a copy of the proof itself.  Instead, we will note in our system that your vaccination status has been verified, which allows us to avoid having to ask you for proof each time you ride.

If you have a medical exemption that prevents you from getting the vaccine, please contact yoursoulmatters@soul-cycle.com for more information.

*In NorCal you must show proof of vaccination two weeks after your second dose of Moderna or Pfizer or two weeks after your first dose of Johnson & Johnson.

Studio Mask Policy

Our studio mask policy varies by region. Please call your local studio for guidelines.

The SoulCycle Standard of fitness and safety.

We set the tone for our industry with our safety standards and even though we are on the other side of the pandemic, we continue to make upgrades. Your safety is our main concern and we act on it. See below for all the changes we have made and please know that this list is constantly evolving.

Our Heightened Deep-Cleaning Process

Top-grade disinfectant & more frequent cleaning.

Staff uses a disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 in all common areas before and after check-ins—with a heightened attention to bikes, weights, and all high-touch surfaces after every class.

Disinfecting high-touch surfaces.

After every class, we disinfect doorknobs, handles, rails, light switches, sanitizing stations, lockers, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, benches, locker keys, the front desk, keyboards, computers, phones, and instructor equipment.

All bikes are disinfected.

After every class, every bike in the studio is thoroughly disinfected—even if it was not used.

Shoes disinfected & rotated.

Shoes are rotated so that they’re never worn two classes in a row. We’re only renting them out once they’re entirely disinfected and dry.

Staff face masks.

Our studio mask policy varies by region. Please call your local studio for guidelines.

Upgraded air filtration system.

Our new filters clean the air with PECO air-purification tech, which is FDA approved for its performance and use in helping to destroy the COVID-19 virus.

Top-grade disinfectant, with electrostatic distribution.

The new disinfectant allows us to spray more evenly, including hard-to-reach areas, clings to every surface it coats, and is proven to kill viruses like COVID-19. Staff is using this on surfaces in all common areas before and after check-ins, with a special attention to bikes, weights, and all high-touch surfaces after every class.

Before You Ride

High-touch amenities.

To limit hand-to-hand contact, we’re removing gum, q-tips, and complimentary phone charging. Hair ties, razors, and individually-wrapped ear plugs will be behind the desk, available upon request.

Cancel bikes by the deadline.

During this time, we’re strictly enforcing our cancellation policy. If you need to, please remember to cancel by 5pm the evening before class.

Touchless hand sanitizer.

Motion-activated stations will dispense sanitizer with a higher alcohol concentration—one station at the lobby entrance, and one by the studio door.

Checking In

Digital check in.

Our new, hands-free process lets you check yourself in right in our app. Be sure to have the latest or update before you ride, and check in up to 30mins before class starts.

Lock up personal items.

We highly suggest bringing only the necessities.

Clipping In

Sanitizing wipes.

We will continue to provide sanitizing wipes at the entrance to our studios for you to use.

In-room birthday celebrations.

To uphold social distancing practices, we won’t be celebrating birthdays during class. Don’t worry: We have other plans in store to celebrate your big day.

After You Ride

Shower access.

Showers are open. For the time being, available amenities will include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, face wash and Curie deodorant.

Unlocking lockers.

If you forget your combination, please wait until there are no other riders at the front desk to have your locker unlocked by staff.

SoulCycle Outside

In addition to our current in-studio guidelines, the following safety measures are being put into place to ensure the health and wellness of our riders and staff:

Before You Ride

For those who love riding SoulCycle Outside classes, our pro tip to you is—layers. Dress weather appropriate and try to incorporate layers that you can add on when it’s cold outside or take off when you feel the heat during warm-up. Before signing up to the outdoor exercises, please check in with your doctor to review any special precautions you may need to take.

Mask policy.

Our studio mask policy varies by region. Please call your local studio for guidelines.

Headsets.

Headsets provided by SoulCycle will be sanitized using top-grade disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 between uses. If you would rather bring your own headphones, note that they must have a 3.5mm mini connector in order to be compatible with our audio system.

Seating.

Our regular in-studio seating will not be available. We will provide benches for riders to change their shoes before and after class.

Rider Responsibility:

Keeping each other safe.

We’ve put a lot of changes in place—with details beyond what you see here. The way our safety process will be most effective is when we all make sure to do our part in it.

Aside from respecting the safety guidelines put in place by the government, we ask that every member of our Soul Fam takes the Soul approach: Go above and beyond for each other.

If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to the studio until you are symptom free for three days.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come to the studio for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.

If you feel unwell or have any concerns about coming in to ride, please stay home and stay safe.

It might be a bit overwhelming at first. But trust us: As soon as that first song starts playing, you’ll find yourself in that familiar place you know and love. That sanctuary you’ve needed is even safer now—and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
