November 24, 2016
s we give thanks for friends, family and many more blessings, our instructors share the people, places and things that motivate them, inspire them and make them feel #SOULgrateful this holiday season…
I'm really grateful for my family. They keep me grounded and remind me what is real in times when I feel unhinged. This time of year, family is so important to keep you grounded, and mine is truly amazing.
I am grateful for my friends, family and SOUL family. Because of you guys, I am able to wake up every day and do what I love.
I am thankful for my parents, who have greatly influenced the way I interact with the world. I am thankful for my friends and riders, who make my life better on a daily basis. I'm thankful for my job and for all of the ways it fulfills me and all of my needs. I'm thankful for my education and for the ability to reason and think.
I'm #SOULgrateful for a year on the podium, experiencing a depth of community, grace, strength and joy unlike anything that's ever come my way!
I am so lucky to be able to spend time at home in Rhode Island with my family this year. It is such a cool part about making the move from California to Boston after 10 years of being VERY far from home.
I feel blessed to feel the support of loving family and friends everyday; to have raised two beautiful, successful, independent, inspiring children — Emily and Joey; and to be healthy, happy and full of energy and have the ability to help others feel the same way.
I am thankful for fellow instructor Sam Y., my wonderful family and the people that I'm lucky enough to have in my life.
I am blessed for way more reasons than I could ever type out, but if I had to name a couple here they are: My boyfriend/partner Eric, my blood family, my SoulCycle family, our puppy Artemis, our awesome roommates, a lovely apartment with dishwasher and washer/dryer in the unit, and every day I am lucky/grateful/#blessed to wake up, to have a body that works, to have a mind that works, and for them to work as one getting me through this thing called life. I always look at the big picture, we are really on a giant rock flying through space — the fact that any of this is around me is miraculous.
I am thankful for my husband Gregg. He has relocated with me to Philly, leaving behind family, friends and a job. He has listened to me feel sorry for myself and question my decision about moving, but he never has made me feel that he resents me in any way. He has allowed me to change careers, even when we didn't know if it would work out (thankfully it did!). He's always been my biggest fan and my best friend, and I don't tell him enough how truly grateful I am for him.
I'm thankful for my five favorite people on earth — Dallas instructors Abby Effron, Lexi Brawer, Kevin Cummings and Hayes Callaway. They've been there for me and kept me laughing since the day we arrived and I can't imagine what this year would have been like without them.
I am so grateful to be so close to family on Thanksgiving. I lost my father on Thanksgiving day in 1997 so it is a bittersweet time of year.
Hands down, my friends, family and my cat are everything to me. That alone makes me feel more than blessed because those three things are life.
I am blessed to have my health, my family, my friends and my life that twists and turns and brings so many surprises!
I feel so blessed to have made my move from West Coast to East Coast SOUL to be close to my family, especially around the holidays! I am also grateful for my SOUL fam and the feeling of community from coast to coast!
I am grateful for my family and their constant love, support and encouragement. My brother always puts a smile on my face, my mom is my number one fan, and my dad works hard to to show and teach our family that anything is possible.
I am grateful for healthy and happy family and friends, SoulCycle, weekends, snow days, blue sky days, cocktails, freshly-cut flowers and grass, seasons, the ocean, the beach, the mountains, laughter, great playlists, heartfelt notes, family vacations, my cozy all-white bed, date nights with my husband, family dinners, random acts of kindness, art, sunsets, sunrises, the moon and the stars, the ability to keep learning and teaching, and the healing power of music and love!
I feel so incredibly blessed to have a healthy and happy three-year-old daughter with the most incredibly strong and compassionate wife. I feel so blessed to have our SOUL community of riders — a chosen family of support, growth and courage, a family which is all-inclusive and allows everyone to be true and authentic, where we all come together to be the very best versions of ourselves.
This year I am super grateful for my family. They are my biggest champions and supporters no matter what! I'm lucky there are a lot them.
What am I thankful for? SOUL, of course!
