Meet the SF Rider Chasing His Goals at SOUL
an Francisco rider AARON HUGHES first clipped in to the bike as a part of a 90-day goal-setting program. See how far he's come, ahead.
Four months ago, I took my first class at SoulCycle to aid me in a 90-day goal I had.
Prior to this goal-setting program, SoulCycle had scared me. I hadn't been physically active for years and gyms were not really my thing. In March, I took my first class with MATTHEW at CSTR, and within a week, I was hooked.
The idea of riding a bike that goes nowhere, in a room pumped with music and lights, while an instructor tells you how amazing you are, was so out of the box that I loved it. I have come to understand the pack and am now taking between three to five classes a week throughout the Bay.
The team and instructors at CSTR have been an integral part of my journey. The time I dedicate in the morning on the bike sets me up for my day and impacts all areas of my week. Today, I've released 36 pounds, and gained the opportunity to know the Castro team and other riders.
I believe that we do not spend enough time celebrating wins and today I wanted to share a story of support that has transformed me from a shy rider in the back corner to a front-row rider taking class regularly and loving every minute of it. Thank you to Matthew, who is a sensational, positive instructor creating community and fostering change, and to the team at Castro for the hard work providing such an impactful class experience.
