Ronne and Chavion's Soul Journey
March 26, 2014
Veronica Everett-Boyce is a SOUL rockstar. She started Urban Fitness 911 (urbanfitness911.com) with one of the lowest performing schools in Los Angeles because "there is really a health epidemic among kids in low-income areas," she says. "There are no physical education programs and no one teaches kids about nutrition. I had been wanting to do something for a long time."

Bringing Ronne and Chavion to SOUL West Hollywood to ride with Angela Davis was a game-changer. "Angela’s class is epic, and it was the perfect place for Ronne and Chavion. It is emotional and spiritual, and the kids love her – she is like a mom to them. She is always checking in on them during the ride, and she tells them what she wants them to work on. She tells them she loves them and in class, she always reminds them, 'We have your back.' It is such a positive and powerful experience for them."
And it's been positive and powerful for SoulCycle as well. We are so inspired that this fall we are launching a program called Soul Scholarships to provide classes and motivation for adolescents. For more info, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the meantime, L.A. riders can book a bike in an Urban Fitness 911 ride at SoulCycle on April 6 to benefit the program. For more info, visit http://www.urbanfitness911.com.
