SOUL INSPIRATION

21 Instructors’ New Year’s reSOULutions

t’s that time… motivation vibes and #goals are everywhere, and we’re loving the energy. Find inspiration in our instructors’ resolutions for 2017, then sprint into another year with strength, SOUL and the power of the pack…

TAYLOR SHANK
“I want to be 100 percent dedicated to being my best self… including off the bike. If that means going to bed at 8:30 AM to wake up rested for my 6:00 AM’s, time to say, ‘No’ to that late dinner. I also have been way too guilty of relying on eating out — it’s time to get back into the kitchen and eat right.”

SYDNEY MILLER
“I want to be less attached to my phone and more present in real life.”

NAZ SANDERS
“My New Year’s resolution is to be better at saving money and spending it more responsibly, to incorporate more cross-training and recovery exercises into my workouts, and to travel more… I'd like to see the world!”

NINA RUTSCH
“I want to be more mindful and live in the moment, to take those moments to breathe each day and be fully present — phone down, eyes up! — and not be anxious about the future.”

PAIGE HOWELL
“I want to write and finish enough music to complete an EP that I am proud to release and play in class!”

JAMES JARROTT
“My goal this year is to work more on my stand up comedy. Oh, and I wouldn't be upset with finally finding my sugar daddy. If you're out there, check out my schedule on the website and meet me on the boyfriend bike.”

YAEL GROSS
“Since I’m going to become a first-time mother in July 2017, my resolution is to be patient with my journey and trust the process. I want to be patient with my body and my growing baby and trust that the universe has its best interest for me and my family no matter what hurdles come my way.”

SELENA WATKINS
“One of my resolutions is to introduce my very first product under the Body By Selena brand. I want to successfully get women of all shapes and sizes to embrace femininity, image and self-love. 2017 is about body confidence!”

DENITA BANKS
“My reSOULution is to do more cross training and to eat a mostly plant-based diet!”

ISAAC CALPITO
“I want to write down at least one good thing that happened each day so at the end of the year, when I read them back, I can realize how blessed I am.“

JOEY COPPEDGE
“My reSOULution is to consistently take more naps! Sleep is one of the most underrated, yet increasingly popular forms of preventative medicine, and as someone who is physically active for work, I’ll be doing myself —and my riders—a great service by getting more of it!”

JENNA GAROFALO
“My New Year’s resolution is more yoga, less Seamless — an overall reminder for more home-cooked meals. “

ALEX KANTER
“I want to tell people when I'm thinking about them! There are so many times in the day where I am reminded of one person or another in some way and I want to give a little more love by reaching out more often.”

ANDREW STINGER
“I'm focusing 2017 on a little bit of life cleanup: adjusting my nutrition diet to steer clear of fast food, recommitting to my cross-training and recovery regiment, planning out a more realistic budget to regain some ‘financial fitness’ and looking for at least one impactful way to regularly serve my local community off the bike. The ultimate goal is to make it to the end of 2017 having completed another marathon and erased my debt!”

NOA SHAW
“’Resolution of happiness’ is a lyric in a song I love. So that's my resolution. “

NAOMI PACHECO
“My New Year’s reSOULution is changing old habits and finding creative ways to approaching difficult situations.”

MEGAN SPARKS
“I want to challenge myself intellectually! I find myself being settled in a routine and not reading as much as I used to, but I want to push myself as much mentally as I do physically.”

NICHOLAS WAGNER
My reSOULution is to get my paintings out in the world, seen and bought! Also to take a dance class two times a month!

BRENT LOCEY
Be strong enough to do a "muscle-up" and also work more on my flexibility and range of motion.

SARAH HEALY
“Every year I list ‘patience’ as a goal.. it's something I can always work on."

JEFF RIEBER
“My New Year's reSOULution is to reconnect with my first love: dance. It's hard to keep balance in life, but when you continue to fuel your personal passions, it naturally translates to every aspect of your life.”
