What I eat before class depends on if I'm teaching in the early morning or evening. If it's first thing I make sure I have caffeine! It's always a good idea to have some before a workout but especially when they're first thing in the morning. If it's in the evening I'm really into the matcha baked donut from Juice Generation right now. It has the right balance of green tea and healthy carbs for a boost of energy, but not too much protein or fat to slow me down during class.
I have just started experimenting with flax seed and oatmeal balls! They are so energizing and delicious! Lots of honey chocolate and coconut chips!
WASA cracker with nut butter and sometimes a banana.
Before or after class, I like this smoothie that I get from a place called Organic Krush called ‘Green Dream.’ It has spinach, avocado and pear juice. and I add vanilla protein. It's absolutely delicious!
