25 Great On-The-Go Snacks

Eating on the run is a reality for us all, especially as we travel during #summerofSOUL. Which snacks do our instructors pack? Check out 25 healthy options they rely on...

“When I'm on the go I usually carry a multigrain peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwich as a small snack.  I also sometimes cut watermelon up into cubes and take that along. It's very filling and gives me a quick fructose sugar high to pick me up briefly after a long day of classes.” — REED

“I always keep almonds or a KIND bar in my bag as a snack. The protein in the nuts usually keeps me satisfied until I have time to eat a full meal.” — ALLISON SANTINI

“I usually have a Granny Smith apple, Cashew Cookie Larabar and Lime La Croix Water with me each day.” — KELLEN TOWNSEND

“I'm always on the go and love grabbing smoothies, energy bites from Liquiteria in between classes and Quest bars.” — PAIGE HOWELL

“As a fitness instructor, I am always on-the-go. I carry snacks that are convenient, and easy to eat and digest. I usually have raw almonds, fruit, and some sort of bar, a KIND bar or Clif bar, to replenish after my classes. Typically, when I am traveling I also have at least one pack of my favorite candy, Twizzlers.” — MARK FORKOS

“Coffee. Always coffee.” — ARIEL PADILLA

“So I honestly don't really ever travel with snacks, but I do always travel with this hydration stuff called alpha amino. It works wonders to rehydrate and it's made a huge difference in my recovery and overall physical stamina.” — GARRETT SCHLOSSER

“I drive from my house in New Jersey to the Short Hills studio several times a week, and I always travel with fruit. Apples and bananas are my go-to, but if I can grab some melon on-the-go, it's awesome and hydrating (especially after class, when I'm hungry and need to replenish some fluid and sugar in my body). I am also a lifetime member of Weight Watchers, so fruit is a win-win because it's tasty and zero points!” — ERIKA SHANNON

“I always have chocolate milk with me, I usually drink it right after class. I also have Quest bars with me if I'm lifting heavy weights or cross training.” — YAVUZ AKMAN

“I LOVE SNACKS! My all-time favorite snack is popcorn. I love to buy the kernels and make my own at home. When I'm teaching however, usually that means 3-4 classes a day, so I make sure that my snacks fill me up and are packed with protein and carbohydrates for fuel on the go. Most times this means I carry things in my bag like rice cakes and peanut butter, dried fruit or trail-mix, Quest bars (the s’mores flavor is my current favorite), and protein powder that I can mix with water. Nobody likes a hangry Sayre.” — SAYRE MASTERS

“One of my favorite snacks to travel with are Biscoff cookies! I discovered them while traveling on Delta Airlines. They are super easy to pack and quite delicious!”  — TINA JACKSON

“I generally stick to three square meals a day and spend the most time traveling in my car so here's what I got: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, string cheese, and Go Apple/Peach Sauce Squeezes. I also keep some flax oatmeal and my carbohydrate supplement on me at all times!!!” — ELLE CASCINO

“Vitamin Water. You’ve gotta hydrate to hustle.” — STRING
