Elizabeth Cutler and Julie Rice, co-founders and owners of SoulCycleNew York Citys full-body indoor cycling workout today announced the launch of the companys first performance apparel line. Named SOULCYCLE after the brand itself, the clothing line will debut in January 2010 and will be the first womens clothing collection designed specifically for indoor cycling. Created, designed and produced by fashion designer Stephanie Hirsch and SoulCycle owners Cutler and Rice, SOULCYCLE is designed for the stylish woman who wants form, function and fashion.
SOULCYCLE is made of Vaportex, an innovative performance fabric that is guaranteed to endure during the most intense cardio workout. Vaportex is a high-tech moisture management system that wicks moisture away from the body to help athletes maintain a near-constant body temperature. The comfortable and stylish silhouettes, designed by Hirsch, were created to move with riders bodies. Although the collection was specifically designed for indoor cycling, it is incredibly versatile, and can be worn for almost any type of exercise including running, outdoor biking, yoga and Pilates.
The inaugural SOULCYCLE collection will be called the Spiritual Warrior collection. The collection was designed to inspire and empower women during their workout. The strong, sexy colors and fabrics encourage the rider to tap further into her physical strength, while the well-constructed silhouettes allow her freedom and flexibility while she rides. The line includes one sports bra, two pairs of tights, one sport top, one drawstring aprs-cycling pant, one zip-up hoodie and one unitard. Each piece comes in a variety of fabrics and styles. Retailing between $35 and $150, SOULCYCLE can be purchased online at www.soul-cycle.com and at any SoulCycle studio location.
