After meeting ABBY DRAPER, we've come to believe in fate. It just so happens that the first day Abby got a car in LA was the same day that SoulCycle opened. Stir crazy from sitting around the house, Abby came in for her first class and the rest is history. One of our most consistent riders, we see Abby most nights after work. She says that we make her feel refreshed and, we have to say, we feel the same way about her. As a rider since day one, Abby and SoulCycle have truly grown together. Coincidence? We think not.
Meet NINA RUTSCH. Nina's Soul journey brought her full circle: Originally from New York, Nina moved to LA where she discovered indoor cycling. On a trip home she decided to try Soul and now she's gone ahead and moved back to teach in NYC! An actress and stylist by trade, Nina has a sick fashion sense. But don't let her style fool you -- this girl can ride. Two weeks in and she's already receiving rave reviews in the DALE. Believe us when we tell you, Nina is a name you'll want to look out for!

WEHO Rockstar OPHELIA CHONG inspires us to no end. A graphic designer, illustrator, professor (at the Art Center College of Design), and accomplished writer (she writes a weekly column for KCET), Ophelia is an enthusiastic ambassador for other artists and agents of change. We're humbled that she's also an ambassador for Soul! One of our most regular riders, Ophelia is always willing try new instructors, meet new people and push past her comfort zone. Have we mentioned we love our WEHO community?

On Cinco De Mayo, JULIE DERMER rocked a Billy Joel Theme Ride in East Hampton! With margaritas flowin, Billy Joel playin' and the sun shining, it was clear that Soul Summer had begun! Check out Julie D's playlist and listen to it on Spotify!
Julie D. in the middle with a bottle of red and a bottle of white!
Not three minutes after we emailed MARK PASTORE to see if he would be willing to share his Soul story, he was on the phone telling us everything at a mile a minute. If there's one thing we can say about Mark, it's that he likes to get things done. And he does. Not only is he the president of Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors, Mark stars in a reality show called Meat Men that currently airs on Food Network. Oh yeah. And in the last 5 months, he's lost 50 lbs. Believe us when we tell you... this is a Soul Story worth checking out!
Dear Soul Community, we'd like to introduce you to rider, renegade, rockstar, and SoulCycler extraordinaire... SUSAN ROBINSON! Having started her Soul journey on "the dark side of 40," Susan has become an inspiration to riders, instructors, and even the Soul founders! A New Orleans native with a wonderful Southern accent, Susan says waiting for class is like being a child on Christmas morning. She also claims if she goes too long without Soul she starts to get a little twitchy. Well, if we didn't see Susan in our studios every day, we'd get a little twitchy too. Check out her amazing Soul story!
Last Wednesday, MARVIN rocked it out late night in Union Square! Our Night Riders arrived at 9:30PM and followed up class with some low-cal cocktails. A killer workout with better music than the clubs, it's no wonder this party ride was sold out!! Check out pics and listen to Marvin's party playlist on Spotify!

On Tuesday night, SUE MOLNAR (and PARKER RADCLIFFE pictured on the bike), led an amazing GLEE! Theme Ride. Rocking out to our favorite hits from the Glee Cast, there was singing, sweating and SOUL. And really, what more could you ask for? Check out pictures from the ride and listen to the playlist on Spotify!
Last night in Scarsdale STRING and TAYE rocked the Dale with their OLD SKOOL hip-hop ride. With old favorites like "Bust A Move" and "Wild Thing," it's no wonder they brought the house down. Check out pictures from last night's ride and the playlist below!

Next up in our WEHO Rockstars Series is SARAH GOLDSTEIN! A true bicoastal Soul, Sarah was a rider in NYC before moving to Los Angeles last year. She attended our very first class in WEHO and has been one of our most consistent riders ever since! A beautiful rider inside and out, our WEHO community would not be the same without her!

Meet NONI (pronounced Nahn-knee) MANZANO, SoulCycle's IT associate and in-house tech guru. It's only been a few months since Noni started working (and working out) at SOUL, but he has already dropped from a pants size 34 to a 31! Here's his Soul Story...
Here on the Soul Blog, we wanted to introduce our Soul Community to some of our WEHO ROCKSTARS. And it only seemed fitting to start with NOA SHAW. Noa is covered in tattoos and has the gravelly voice of a New Yorker, but after just a few minutes of talking to him you understand why his nickname is "Poppa." He radiates love and is passionate about helping people make their lives better. Noa has also ridden every day since WEHO opened. We know what you're thinking... rockstar is an understatement.
