As you get ready for New Year's Eve parties, SoulCycle would like to share some of our favorite dance moves. You have three days left to watch and learn!
Suggestion 1: The Electric Slide to "You shook me All Night Long." Everyone's seen this move, but it's never looked this fierce.
Still looking for those last-minute gifts? SoulCycle asked our instructors what they wanted for the holidays (one realistic gift and one fantasy gift)! Maybe their responses will spark some ideas!

9 days left until you can follow up a SoulCycle class with a dip in the pool. Here's a little something to get you in the mood. A latin-inspired South Beach playlist by the one and only Janet Fitzgerald!

This week for our Free Music Monday series, we gave away the song “Shine” by John Legend & the Roots from their album Wake Up! The collaborative album, released in September, mostly features covers of classic soul songs from the 1960s and '70s, but "Shine" is the one original track on the album.

In Joseph L. Griffins' mixed-media installation Drawing #1 (To Your Heart’s Content), pedaling the stationary bike activates “arms” fitted with markers, creating a colorful work of art.
Imagine what we could produce in just one SoulCycle class!
Check out this interview with designer, Marcel Wanders, explaining his vision for the Mondrian Hotel in South Beach, the location of our newest SoulCycle studio!
SoulCycle announced today that it will be opening a new location in South Beach at the Mondrian Hotel. And the best part? You can use your NYC series to book Miami classes. So your workout's covered, now you just need an excuse to travel.
Some photos to entice you...

SoulCycle’s favorite art project of the moment comes from an unlikely source. On October 7th, LEVI'S (that's right, the jeans company) opened a ten-week photography workshop in Soho in the former Deitch Gallery. Coming off the heels of their print studio in San Francisco, the NY workshop is dedicated to “the democratic nature of photography and how it's interwoven into everything in the city.”
After a 10 day journey to China, Carly Handler is back and more focused than ever. 14 lbs down and looking to end the year strong!

This week for our FREE Music Monday series, we gave away N.E.R.D.’s latest single “Hypnotize U”, produced by the French duo Daft Punk. This track is from N.E.R.D.’s album entitled Nothing, which was released earlier thi month. N.E.R.D. is the band behind the famous rapper and producer Pharrell along with Chad Hugo and Shay Haley. The group’s history runs deep and Pharrell met Chad at summer camp when they were both 12 years old! The group is known for combining different genres and collaborating with a unique array of artists.
For “Hypnotize U” they worked with Daft Punk, known for their electronic sounds and high- energy live performance. They're known best for their songs “Around the World” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”, which has been sampled by many artists including Kanye West.

This week, for our Free Music Monday Twitter series, we gave away a free song by Kanye West called “Don’t Look Down” featuring Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco and Big Sean.
We're huge fans of Kanye at SoulCycle and we've been loving his “Good Music Friday” series! (This may or may not have inspired our free Music Mondays…) For the past 12 weeks, Kanye has been giving away a free song every Friday, leading up to the release of his new album “My Beautiful Dark and Twisted Fantasy,” which comes out November 22nd. None of the songs that he's given away will be featured on the album, so we are anxious to see what he "officially" releases!
Some other facts about Kanye to share among friends: Kanye was a producer before becoming a rapper. He produced songs for Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Ludacris and Janet Jackson. After receiving much acclaim from his peers, he put out his own record The College Dropout in 2004. Four albums later, he has created how own empire with a record label “GOOD Music” and has become a universally recognized figure. Love him or hate him, you can't deny his talent. Plus, he gets us grooving on our bikes! What more can you ask for?
Salt therapy, used in Eastern Europe for centuries, has recently been introduced in NYC. Some SoulCycle employees recently visited the salt rooms at Halo Air in Chelsea and loved the experience! Inhaling salt... so simple it just might work.

Since the late 1800's, Eastern Europeans have visited natural salt mines to treat respiratory and skin ailments. In New York City, Halo Air attempts to replicate the experience by creating salt mines of their own.
This week, for our Free Music Monday Twitter series, we gave away a free song by Kid Cudi called “Marijuana” from his upcoming album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. The album drops tomorrow (November 9th) and we know you'll be hearing it in our SoulCycle studios this week!

Kid Cudi grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland Ohio, but moved to Brooklyn after high school to follow his dream of becoming a rapper. Kanye West caught wind of his mix-tape and had him collaborate on a song for his album 808s & Heartbreak. Cudi’s first album entitled Man on The Moon : The End of the Day, came out on Universal Motown in 2009 and sold over 100,000 copies in the first week. Kudi is a triple threat; not only a rapper, but also an actor and fashion designer. He starred in the HBO series, How to Make it in America, designed a line of shirts for Bape, and was named “Most Stylish New Yorker” in 2010 by Time Out New York.
Below, we've posted the video for “Erase Me” featuring Kanye West -- the first single from the new album. Cudi is dressed as Jimi Hendrix and there are lots of other famous cameos, including McLovin’ (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) from Superbad!
After 10 weeks of hard work, Carly Handler is getting ready to face her biggest challenge yet: traveling! But with only 2 lbs to go until she reaches her goal, we have no doubts that Carly will be able to keep up her good habits wherever she is.

Roadways are the new runways for these style-obsessed cyclists, their bikes no mere conveyance but a racy adjunct to their look. More than a few are infusing what used to be an athletic, or purely practical, pursuit with eye-catching glamour and sex appeal. merchants.

SoulCycle is all for the new trend of fashionable bike riders in NYC. Cycling is the healthiest way to get from point A to point B and if you can look good while doing it, all the better!
So for those of you who are looking for a set of wheels that's as fashionable as it is functional, we suggest taking a look at HUB (Hudson Urban Bicycle) in the west village and Adeline Adeline TriBeCa. The bikes are so pretty, you might be tempted to put them on your wall. And with the limited storage space in NY, you just might have to.
