Meet Nina

Meet NINA RUTSCH. Nina's Soul journey brought her full circle: Originally from New York, Nina moved to LA where she discovered indoor cycling. On a trip home she decided to try Soul and now she's gone ahead and moved back to teach in NYC! An actress and stylist by trade, Nina has a sick fashion sense. But don't let her style fool you -- this girl can ride. Two weeks in and she's already receiving rave reviews in the DALE. Believe us when we tell you, Nina is a name you'll want to look out for!

5 things you may not know about me...

1) Everyone in my family is an artist.

2) I am from NY, but I've lived in Hawaii and Los Angeles (I'm a beach bum at heart). My dream is to become bi-coastal.

3) I am superstitious.

4) I am a "jill" of all trades: actress, director, personal shopper, wardrobe organizer, hair + make-up artist.

5) I rescued my puppy because he looked like half 'gremlin' / half 'my pretty pony' - two of my favorite cartoons growing up.

My class is unique because...

I encourage everyone to "do one thing a
day that scares you" - grab heavier weights, book that front row bike, and turn it up!!

In my class I love to play...

Florence and the Machine, JayZ, Coldplay, Kanye West, Rihanna, an indie song you may have never heard before and, of course, there is always an old school throwback!

The pace of my class is...

Lots of jogs, lots of resistance, party tap backs and I enjoy an epic "moving meditation" sprint home. I like to
create a community within the class where you show up no matter what. No energy one day? You will get it from your neighbor in class... Trust.

My favorite neighborhood in NYC is...

Nolita. Start with baked eggs and an americano at Cafe Gitane, then shopping on Mott Street, lunch at the counter at Cafe Habana, New Museum on Bowery and a jalepeno margarita at La Esquina...perfect NYC day.

If I have an hour to myself, I'm...

Getting a mani/pedi, at hot yoga, searching for music... I need more than an hour!

Sense of humor is really important to me.

Without it life can get too intense. My father used to say "smile, and the world will smile back at you..."

My friends know me as...

The positive thinker and the fashion police.
